My semester just ended about 1 or 2 weeks ago (forgotten -_-'). Now, I have around 3 months of break (yaay!!). People around me keep calling me to get a job, but I just don't feel like doing anything.

I don't feel like going out. I don't feel like working. All I want is to relaaaaaax... and do anything I want or like. Because the previous semester was really busy. I didnt have much time to relax. So now, I just feel like flying and land whenever I like.

Now, I'm actually in Port Dickson. Just enjoyed a great time swimming with my family and cousins. Lying on the bed now, relaxing and blogging using my phone. =)

I hope this holiday will last FOREVER! hehe.. ok, maybe not forever. I'll be like a useless person if this last forever. =P Anyway, I think I have to look for something to do now. Been lying on the bed for quite some time. Hehe. Bye!

Do you know that I LOOOOVE to see the smile on people face, especially the one from the heart? It looks so pretty on everyone's face.

Smile is a most beautiful gift that God has given to us. The joy of a smile can brighten a sour face, heal the sick, and even change the whole situation.

Be thankful for what you have now but not focusing on what you don't have. Be happy for everything. There is always something beautiful around you that you didn't realise. So smile!

I came across a video that I would like to share with everyone that is reading this right now. Turn on your speaker, stop the music player on the side bar and enjoy watching. Past it around if you like it.

Finished watching this video? Get the idea? Start smiling then! Make people around you smile too! Say something good to them. There's always something good about anyone. So tell them!

Remember, all of you looks great with the smile on your face. =) Trust me.

Nothing is impossible. You can do it if you THINK you can do it. You can't do it if you THINK you can't do it. It's all about your thinking, your own thoughts. Even people like Nick Vujicic, with no arms and legs, yet everything seems to be possible to him. Below are the videos that I would like to share with everyone. They might be old videos and some of you might even watched it before, but humans do forget. So watch it again. It's inspiring.

I realised many songs actually carry memories. While listening to them, they will remind me of the past.

Some of them reminds me of some people.

Some of them reminds me of the game I played.

Some of them reminds me of my dance performances.

But each one of them, reminds me of the wonderful moment and the fun time I had.

Every time I listen to them, they give me a sad feeling, because all these memorable moments are the past. How nice if I can go back to the past and experience these moments once again.

Anyway, below are some of the songs that remind me of the past memories: (Stop the player on the sidebar before playing this)

Thursday is my busiest day in every week. Class starts at 9am and ends at 7pm. And there is only an hour break at 2pm.

To make matters worse, I’ll have to park my car very far away from my university, because UTAR doesn’t provide enough parking area for us (students). The parking slots around my university is always full and we can’t park in the housing area or yellow line, unless we’re willing to get our car scratched, tyres punctured or summoned by the city council, yet we’re still doing it because we have no choice! Students been sending letters to UTAR but no action is taken.

Last two days (Thursday), after spending 10hours in my university, I felt so tired and sleepy but I still have to take a long walk to my car. Plus, it was raining at the same time. Sky was already getting dark, the sun was setting and suddenly, I saw something amazing that put a smile on my face.

A beautiful rainbow in the sky. It is so nice and I quickly stopped and took out my phone to take a picture of it. Rainbow (hope/success) comes after rain/storm (problem/struggle).

I reached home at almost 9pm with a starving stomach due to the terrible jam but I still have the peace and joy in my heart because I know that God will never leave or forsake me, thanks to the colourful stripes in the sky.

What do you think about the picture above? Funny? Stupid? Retarded? Brainless? Ugly? Disgusting? Crazy? Dumb?

I found a touching article in christianitytoday.com, written by Kelly Adkins, titled "Kevin's Different World" and I feel that it's worth sharing.

This is what she wrote:
<<< My brother Kevin thinks God lives under his bed. At least that's what I heard him say one night. He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped outside his closed door to listen.

"Are you there, God?" he said. "Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed."

I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin's unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in.

He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he's 6-foot-2), there are few ways in which he is an adult. He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will.

He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas, and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them.

I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different. Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life? Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, returning to eat his favorite macaroni-and-cheese for dinner, and later to bed. The only variation in the entire scheme are laundry days, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother with her newborn child.

He does not seem dissatisfied. He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05, eager for a day of simple work. He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day's laundry chores.

And Saturdays—oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That's the day my dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside.

"That one's goin' to Chi-car-go!" Kevin shouts as he claps his hands. His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on Friday nights.

I don't think Kevin knows anything exists outside his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips. He doesn't know what it means to be discontent. His life is simple. He will never know the entanglements of wealth or power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. He recognizes no differences in people, treating each person as an equal and a friend. His needs have always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be.

His hands are diligent. Kevin is never so happy as when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it. He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished. But when his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax. He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others.

His heart is pure. He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue. Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere.

And he trusts God. Not confined by intellectual reasoning, when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child.

Kevin seems to know God—to really be friends with him—in a way that is difficult for an "educated" person to grasp. God seems like his closest companion.

In my moments of doubt and frustrations with my Christianity, I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith. It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions. It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap—I am.

My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances—they all become disabilities when I do not submit them to Christ. Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of the Lord.

And one day, when the mysteries of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I'll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed.

Kevin won't be surprised at all.
>>>

They might be mentally disabled. Their reaction might be slow. Their looks might be different. They might learn slower than we do. But what I admired most is the simple mind and the pure heart they have. We should learn from them instead.

Another Welcome Freshmen Concert. This is a concert for new May intake students in my university organised by students. My group and I, the T.H.E. was one of the performers for this concert. We performed before on Welcome Freshmen Concert (January Intake, 2010).

Our group consists of 8 members. They are Zact, Wayne, Shangee, Meng, Vincent, Chun Hong, Jaz and I. Unfortunately, only 5 of us are involved in this performance, Zact, Meng, Vincent, Jaz and I. The other 3 of them couldn't make it for this performance as they had plans going on.

We took around 3 days to practice for this performance and I don't think it was enough. On the day of our performance, Meng's right arm dislocated from his shoulder during our last minute practice. He didn't even make any extreme movement. He just lifted up his arms and his right arm just came off his shoulder. I could see the pain through his pale face. This was the second time his arm get dislocated.

We managed to drive him to the nearest ‘铁打' (some kind of Chinese clinic). The doctor doesn't look like an experienced one. He twisted, turned, lifted and pulled Meng's arm and Meng was groaning and kicking in pain. After a few turns and twists, we heard a loud CRACK and his arm was back to the original position. It was really horrifying watching you own friend suffering and you couldn't do anything. Meng said the doctor that treated him on his first time of dislocation in the hospital took only awhile to fix his arm without any pain, unlike this one. He said he will never step into '铁打' anymore.

After that, we headed straight to our campus and started planning and changing our dance moves and position since we're lack of 1 person. However, we managed to settle everything before the concert start.

Half way through the concert, before we get our turn to perform, rain started pouring down and the problem was the stage was situated outdoor! The crew quickly moved everything into the canteen and we held it there. Therefore, you will notice some tables and chairs in the pictures below.

That's all folks! I'm not sure who's having the video of our performance. I'll find out one day. =)

I'm half way through my exams with 2 more papers left, Mathematics for Engineering II and Soil Mechanics. Both are not easy subjects.

I cannot wait for my exams to end! I need holiday!

I spent most of my time on my desk with either my books/papers or my laptop.

Ever wonder how is my study environment?

What are the things on my desk?

Have a look on the picture below.

Okay, I know what's on your mind. "Ewww.... so UNTIDY!".

Yes, it is really untidy. I don't have time to clear my desk since I'm so busy preparing for my exams (I guess I'm just lazy). I'm going to get rid of all those stuffs once my exams are all over. Then I'll upload another nice and tidy picture of it. Haha.

Anyway, they're not rubbish and my desk is clean. Most of them are just the stuffs I need during this time. Like papers, calculator, highlighers, pencils, laptop, mouse, and so on. I know some stuffs shouldn't be on my desk and I need some time to clear them. Haha.

Oh ya, wish me all the best for my exams! Pray for me! =) Thanks!

Life in city is really hectic. People are rushing here and there, busying completing their tasks. The adults have to work very hard to earn some money and feed their family. Leaving the house early in the morning and came back late at night. The students have to study and do their assignments in order to meet the desirable result. Sacrificing their sleep to study for exams and finish up their assignments. Everyday, we are worrying about this and that.

It is like a cycle that we all have to do everyday and it is like a compulsory for everyone living in the city to survive. No education, no job. No job, no money. No money, no food. No food, you'll die! (Unless you want to be a beggar.)

We are living in a city where more and more competitions that we have to overcome as our population grow rapidly, like fighting for the job you want or fighting for the college you wish to enter. This is what we have to do to survive.

Sometimes I'll think why must we stuck with this 'procedure'? To improve our lifestyle? Yes, this might be a reasonable answer, but don't you think that we are spending too much time with our works and studies? Some of us can't even spend a few minutes with our family or friends. Sacrificing your loved ones to your job or education?

Why can't we live like those people in the countryside? I seldom see them rushing, worrying, and stressing about their lifestyle like what we always do in city. They always have time to sit around, chatting with their neighbours and family. Some of us, it is hardly to have some time for us to speak more than 10 words with our neighbours and family a day.

I know what I said is useless and not going to make any difference. Sometimes I just admire those people in the countryside, but I still love the city, because of the entertainments and friends around. So I'll have to bear with this 'procedure'. Since I can't do anything, I guess I will just move on with it.

Anyway, I will not give up. I will still work hard and study hard for my future. On the same time, I will not forget the loved ones around me, including you. I will try my best to find some time for all of you. I am sorry if I cannot spend some time with you sometimes, but don't forget, all of you are always in my heart.

There was a concert organized by my university, UTAR, for the new students. It is called the Welcome Freshman Concert. My group and I decided to take part in this concert by performing a dance to them. Before that, let me introduce them to you.

Zact

Wayne (Chun Yip)

Shangee

Meng

Vincent

Chun Hong

Jaz

and Alex (that's me!)

Together, we are T.H.E (The Hazardous Engineers)

Below is our dance video, enjoy watching! For your info, I'm the one wearing a cap! haha.

After our dance, I was kind of surprised when I was called out by the MC to dance for them again. I didn't prepare anything at all. Anyway, it's not bad I guess.

I really had fun throughout this whole process, especially the practices. Hope that we'll do even better for our next performance!

I had a great x'mas this year. Luckily the renovation (click HERE to know more about the renovation) managed to complete before x'mas. So that we can decorate our house for x'mas!

Look at living room walls:

I didn't get to take the picture for some of the gifts I received because they are already in my stomach. Haha.

I was performing(dance and skit) in my church on x'mas eve and really had fun with it.
This is the picture taken after our skit:

Then I went for a supper with my friends to Mamak!

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.

The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.

Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.

The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.

The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'

The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'.

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.

As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.

The girl replied, 'I'm drawing God.'

The teacher paused and said, 'But no one knows what God looks like.'

Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, 'They will in a minute.'

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.

She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, 'Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?'

Her mother replied, 'Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.'

The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, 'Mummy, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?'

The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.

'Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor..'

A small voice at the back of the room rang out, 'And there's the teacher, she's dead..'

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, 'Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face.'

'Yes,' the class said.

'Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?'

A little fellow shouted,

'Cause your feet ain't empty.'

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:

'Take only ONE . God is watching.'

Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.'

Are you hating someone now?

Hating him/her just because that he/she did something bad to you?

Why must you hate the person if the thing has already passed?

Why must you keep it in the heart?

Is it beneficial to you?

Is it making you happy?

Will it change the past?

Why not just forgive?

Some of you might say that it is hard to fix a broken heart. Well, yes, it is hard, but it is possible. It just takes time and depends on whether you want it to be healed or not.

Hating someone is just like a fire burning and growing in your heart day by day. Let's stop this fire from burning and bring back the smile on your face.

Have a nice day. Smile always. =)
